Waerebo was declared by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in August 2012, leaving aside 42 other countries.
Waerebo located in Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. With 1,200 meters above sea level, to reach Waerebo you need extra energy to walk up 7 km or about 4 hours.
Traditional house in Waerebo is called Mbaru Niang, has cone-shaped and five floors with a height of about 15 meters. Mbaru Niang is a symbol of protection, community unity, and being the center of social activities of the community.
